We’re seeking a highly motivated data scientist with strong communication skills, capable of:
- Supporting predictive analysis, social media and crowd-source data analytics, war gaming, and strategy development.
- Developing and utilizing machine learning and data mining algorithms to include prediction algorithms based on open-source capabilities.
- Developing, monitoring, and evaluating advanced analytic methods as they are applied to live use-cases
- Applying exploratory analysis and rapid iteration techniques of large volumes of data to quickly derive intelligence.
- Coding and integrating algorithms to support intelligence search and discovery missions.
- Explaining strengths and weaknesses of proposed methods and making best practice recommendations on managing data within hardware, software, storage, and bandwidth constraints.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor’s Degree relevant to data analysis (statistics, mathematics, engineering, physics, econometrics, operations research, or computer science related)
- Four or more years of programming experience in Python, R, or Matlab
- Demonstrated work, research or educational experience in a field relevant to data science, data analysis, and/or evaluating analysis methods; for example, mathematics, statistics, artificial intelligence, machine learning,, probability modeling, data mining, data engineering
- Successful applications of quantitative methods to achieve improved products in a military and intelligence environment.
- Understanding of how to integrate quantitative methods into new or existing tools and technologies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters Degree with 6+ years of related experience
- Processing large amounts of data for statistical modeling and graphic analysis (metrics):
-C2S, AWS/CWS, Web Services, building VMs
-S3 Bucket
-Python | R | R Shiny in the development of applications
-Machine learning, NLP/Text Processing and data mining algorithms, including prediction algorithms based on open source capabilities
- Statistical modeling experience, Bayesian networks, etc
